The mixture of skiing the off piste and touring the backcountry or going Heli-skiing is always a great source of fun and adventure.
Overview
Verbier offers huge amounts of lift access skiing terrain and
Backcountry touring possibilities. There are also many other smaller
ski areas in the region with great reputations. Bruson, Campex lac,
Vichéres, Grand St. Bernard, La Fouly, Ovronnaz and Les Marrecottes
are all within an hours drive of Verbier.
Not to Mention Chamonix France or the Val d’Aosta in Italy adding
an extensive number of ski areas just over the borders.
Off Piste Skiing
It is your choice, whether
you come to the Alps with skis, telemark skis or a snowboard, all the
activities are available.
Heli-Skiing
Heli-skiing is a wonderful way for getting directly into the
mountains, and when combined with a little ski touring the
possibilities are abundant.

Ski Touring
For day tours or multi day trips. Ski touring offers all kinds of
possibilities and variations for adventure. One often only has to walk
a short distance before ending up in fantastic backcountry
terrain.
The "Haute Route" is a must for any ski mountaineer. Whether it is
the classic Chamonix to Zermatt or spending several days touring
elsewhere, is always a great way to visit the Alps, and the potential
for variations are endless.
Whether in Switzerland, Italy, France or Austria, the Alps in
general have potential for "Haute Route" type traveling.
